gets the job done June 8, 2010 D. Stovall 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
ok its awesome, this thing works and keeps you neat and trim where it counts, wont leave you as clean as a razor but it also doesn't cause nearly the amount of ingrown hairs i dont know how i kept all trimmed up before i bought this. Have already recommended it to friends and would do the same for anyone who asked. NO nicks or cuts, works quickly and efficiently every time. I have had it for 4 months now and will never look back
Does what it's supposed to do fairly well January 27, 2009 Cute Chihuahua (Orient, OH USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Philips Norelco BG2020 Bodygroom is stylish and seems to be built well. Its stainless steel blades are self sharpening which is a huge plus. It is rechargeable and comes with a charging cord, stand, three attachment combs and a cleaning brush. I wish it came with some sort of case for storage. With a full charge it will run for just under an hour. It comes with a 60-day Money-Back Guarantee and a Full Two Year Warranty. It is water resistant so you can use it to dry shave or shave in the shower. It easily rinses clean for easy clean-up. When shaving without the guards in place it shaves very close shave without much irritation. With the guards in place it doesn't work as well as I expected. The blades that cut the longer hair are short and it forces you to keep going over and over the area that you are shaving. Overall it's not perfect but I think this is a very good shaver for the price

It does an excellent job of not hurting. For general grooming it performs well and I have not incurred any issues. However, I am a very light user so other reviews may give a better idea of how it would perform on more involved tasks.
Good for the money, but a few flaws May 26, 2010 Music Fan (Aurora, IL United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased the BodyGroom over a year ago, but had to throw it away recently. All in all it was a good product for the price, but seems to lack durability over the long run.
The good:
Product held a charge very well and worked in and out of the shower. The three blade covers gave a good variety of shave levels. Shaving (no guard) produced little irritation to the skin (when used wet) and worked quite effectively. The blades did not become jammed/clogged at all unless trying to remove too much hair at one time (like using the shortest guard when hair had grown to full length).
The bad:
After the first few months, and infrequent blade changes, the blade covers would occasionally pop off during use, causing the razor to shave down to the skin. This could be controled by holding the blade cover steady, but was a bit of a pain. I also had a problem with the switch getting stuck in the "on" position. This was resoved by simply placing it on the charger (would not run while on the charger), but again, was a bit of a pain.
All in all, given the inexpensive price, it is a good shaver if you want to try it out for the first time, or if you are someone who prefers complete hair removal (blade guard issue would not apply to you).
Not good enough August 18, 2010 Georgi, S 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Hello there,
I have this groomer for an year, I use it once a week to remove
Good:
1/ It is cheap
2/ It gets the job done, though it takes an effort and time
Bad:
1/ It wears off, in 1 year it is not good anymore, Changing of shaving head will cost more than buying a new groomer.
2/ The shaving head is made of very thin foil and plastic, foil can be bent incorrectly easily and broken (torn) the plastic is damaged right on the first month so you need to firm the head somehow else, i did it with a paper
I admit you cant expect more for a 35$ groomer, despite the problems I consider it a good purchase. I am looking for something better, more lasting and more expensive, but I seem to not find it.
